Chapter 1
A Confusing Start to a Design Journey
Tayseer Almattar started the TforDesign in 2013 as a side-hustle freelancing brand aiming to use human-centered design innovation frameworks to guide products and service innovations. He quickly found that using design as a means to solve problems was rarely understood by organizations.
The result was to drop all design-related terms and sneak in design innovation approaches on jobs under the context of “let’s do it this way.” While at it, Tayseer kept preaching design innovation after the fact.

Chapter 2
Influencing Lives Through Design Education
In 2015, TforDesign started publishing online design courses in 3D modeling, 3D printing, sustainability, and simulation. Put together, TforDesign’s design programs attracted more than 50,000 learners from over 145 countries. This was in addition to developing partnerships and publications related to design education. In this chapter, TforDesign grew to become part of an established company in Hong Kong with its dedicated team of passionate affiliates.

Back to the Basics
From the start, TforDesign was all about using human-centered design innovation. In this chapter, TforDesign went back to being vocal about the value of design innovation. Currently, TforDesign both advocates design innovation and practices to help individuals and organizations maximize their innovative potential. A chapter we are looking forward to writing with you.
